We find that on quite a few occasions that we have invoiced parts that haven't been fitted. Then have a embarrassing phone to the customer than have to arrange a refund.

Ideally this should be part of the process of the front of house to check the tech confirmed boxes as part of them creating and checking the invoice prior to calling the customer. If they check it before calling the customer, it will allow them either to remove any items not fitted off the job, or get it back in the workshop prior to calling the customer to advise it is ready.
